A renowned jazz singer with a voice like velvet, Ben D’Cunha has mastered the art of delivering a song in a manner that captures the imagination. His profound interpretation of music enables him to touch audiences with the lyrics he sings, communicating as well through his body language and unique vocal expression. Ben’s virtuosic improvisations accompany the listener through each melody’s message. Now self accompanied on the piano, Ben has shown his ability to develop within the Jazz realm as a solo artist, maintaining a repertoire well over 600 songs.
Professionally trained since the age of six, Ben has over a quarter century of experience performing on stage and recording on various projects. Specializing in voice and piano, Ben has also formally studied composition, arranging, lyric writing and conducting. His ease in delivering a range of musical styles, from classical, blues, and jazz has built him a respected profile within the Canadian Music Scene.
